In the Fall of 2014, the German department launched the German-Austrian Film Festival in an effort to expose the Williams community at large to contemporary German-speaking cinema and to introduce viewers to some of the most exciting directors from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Every year, the faculty members pick a relevant theme and select recent movies by contemporary directors from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
